A symposium on safeguarding national security for Hong Kong’s social welfare sector, jointly organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Social Welfare Department and Connecting Hearts, was held on 8 April. Our General Secretary, Ms Sindy Wong represented Methodist Centre at the symposium. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr CHAN Kwok Ki, GBS, IDSM, JP along with Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr SUN Yuk Han, Chris, JP discussed with representatives of social welfare organizations for the role and responsibilities of the social welfare sector in safeguarding national security, enhancing the sector's awareness of national affairs.
