Course Objectives
This course explores how music therapy techniques can be used to support children with special educational needs (SEN). Participants will learn how to incorporate music into activities to promote communication, social interaction and emotional expression.
Course Content
Basic Theory and Application of Music Therapy (Lesson 1): Introduce the basic principles of music therapy and its application in special educational needs (SEN), and learn how to use music to promote emotional expression, reduce anxiety and improve concentration. Music Activity Design and Implementation (Lesson 2): Learn how to design music activities for students with different SEN, using rhythm, melody and music games to help children develop social skills and emotional management. Students will participate in practical exercises and experience different music therapy techniques. Case Analysis and Practical Application (Lesson 3): Discuss the effects and challenges of music therapy on students with different types of SEN (such as autism, attention deficit and learning difficulties) through real cases. Participants will learn how to adapt musical activities to individual needs and provide appropriate support.
