Course Objectives
This course provides practical strategies for using guided play to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs. Learn techniques to improve cognitive, social and motor skills through play.
Course Content
Characteristics and training methods of children with SEN (Lesson 1): Introduce the characteristics of different types of special learning needs (SEN), including autism, dyslexia, attention deficit, etc., and learn effective training methods for these needs. Theory and Design of Guided Play (Lesson 2): Understand the theoretical basis of guided play and learn how to design structured play activities to promote social interaction and communication skills of children with SEN. Game activity implementation and adjustment skills (Lesson 3): Students will conduct simulated implementation of guided games and learn how to make real-time adjustments based on children’s reactions during the game to help them improve their participation and learning effects. Case discussion and individualized support plan (Lesson 4): Analyze real cases and explore how to design individualized support plans based on the different needs of children with SEN. Participants will learn how to set long-term training goals and evaluate the effectiveness of games.
