Course Objectives
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the nutritional needs of athletes and people with active lifestyles. Course content covers the principles of sports nutrition, energy requirements and how to design personalized meals to enhance performance and recovery.
Course Content
Introduction to Sports Nutrition (Lesson 1): Understand the nutritional needs of athletes and their dietary arrangements before and after exercise. Energy Balance and Metabolism (Lesson 2): How to calculate energy expenditure and design a balanced diet plan. Menu Design Practice (Lesson 3): Designing menus for different types of sports to improve sports performance and recovery. Case analysis and practice (Lecture 4): Discuss and design dietary cases for different types of exercise.
