Course Objectives
This course focuses on the dietary needs of pets and teaches how to create a balanced meal that promotes health. Participants will learn about different nutritional needs and therapeutic diets for various health conditions.
Course Content
Fundamentals of Pet Nutrition (Lesson 1): Introduce the basic nutritional needs of pets, including the functions and sources of protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, and learn how to develop an appropriate diet plan according to the breed and age of the pet. The principles and applications of pet diet therapy (Lesson 2): Understand the role of diet therapy in pet health management, and learn how to use natural ingredients to improve pets’ common health problems, such as gastrointestinal discomfort, skin problems, etc. How to make homemade pet meals (Lesson 3): Learn how to make healthy and balanced homemade pet meals, including cooking methods, ingredient selection and ratios, to ensure that pets receive comprehensive nutrition. Nutritional Issues and Diet Modifications (Lesson 4): Learn how to identify common diet-related health problems in pets and make dietary modifications. Participants will conduct case studies to learn how to design a diet plan to suit a specific health condition.
